The Institute for Global Justice & Security (IGJS) is part of EKU’s College of Justice & Safety, a Program of Distinction in the State of Kentucky.  In 1998, the College of Justice and Safety was awarded the designation as Program of Distinction under Kentucky state law, which earned it more resources and greater recognition. The award and funds have empowered the College in many ways and has provided for improved technology, more personnel, scholarships, faculty fellowships, research, and an increase in international efforts.
